"Update of the Tour of Europe and e-Justice"

A seminar on the update of the Tour of Europe and e-Justice took place on 1 October 2009 in Istanbul under the chairmanship of Mr. Mustafa BIRDEN, President of the Council of State of Turkey.

On this occasion, Mrs Özlem ERDEM KARAHANOGULLARI, Judge-Rapporteur at Council of State of Turkey, presented the administrative justice in Turkey.

Mr. Gürsel MEKIK, Member of the Council of State of Turkey, then presented the UYAP system used for e-Justice in Turkish Courts, and the information system of the Council of State of Turkey. Additional information regarding UYAP can be found on the website and in the information brochure.

The representatives of member jurisdictions have outlined the main changes in the administrative justice since the last colloquium on the subject in 2006 and provided the adjustments to be made to the "Tour of Europe" section of the website of the Association during the coming weeks.

Finally, representatives of the European Commission and of the Council of the European Union presented the latest developments related to the e-justice Portal that should be operational later this year.
