Luxembourg, 8 June 2010: General Assembly
On 8 June 2010, the Association of the Councils of State and Supreme Administrative Jurisdictions of the European Union (ACA-Europe) held its General Assembly, chaired by the President of the Administrative Court of Luxembourg, Mr Georges Ravarani.
The Assembly, where the ACA-Europe’s activities were discussed and decided, concluded the two-year residency of the Supreme Administrative Court and the Council of State of Luxembourg.
This meeting heralded the term as President for the next two years of Mr Carlos Divar Blanco, President of the Supreme Court of Spain.
The members of ACA-Europe decided also to elect Mr Jean-Marc Sauve, Vice-President of the Council of State of France, President of ACA-Europe for 2013-2014.
It was the first session of Professor Thomas Von Danwitz, a judge at the Court of Justice of the European Union, who succeeds Judge C.W.A. Timmermans. Mr Yves Kreins (Council of State of Belgium) and Mr Manuel Campos (Supreme Court of Spain) were re-elected as the Secretary-General and Auditor of ACA-Europe respectively. Mr Virgilius Valancius (Supreme Court of Lithuania) replaces Mr Olof Olsson (Supreme Administrative Court of Finland) as Treasurer of ACA-Europe. Mr Olof Olsson is now retiring and will therefore no longer participate in the activities of ACA-Europe. All the members of ACA-Europe saluted his precious contribution and diligence.
